This blog was created for love of food. Food is my passion. It’s all I want to talk about and is a constant source of inspiration and discovery. I hope this blog becomes a gathering place for food lovers. A space to share local restaurant reviews, celebrate local artisans and chefs, and create fulfilling experiences through cooking delicious and healthy food. I am a home cook, herbalism student, and gardener. You are likely to find me digging in my garden, banging pots in my kitchen, or heading to the hills to set up camp.
My mission is to build a conversation around better, healthier foods. You’ll find posts spanning how to make tinctures to tasting notes on the newest (or oldest) Denver hotspot. When contributing recipes, I will focus on seasonal, organic, and whole foods, sometimes vegan and vegetarian, sometimes not. I still love indulging in a lamb chop or wedge of buttery brie on French bread, so you will see an occasional, indulgent recipe. Balance is key. I try not to eat processed foods, including soy, and instead focus on incorporating an abundance of organic foods and vegetables into my diet. All vegetables are pretty vegetables — Never throw a perfectly good veggie away! A little bruise or imperfection only makes that particular veggie or fruit authentic.
I hope you enjoy the stories and musings I share here. My hope is to bring a little whimsy or adventure each time you visit and to inspire each of you to follow your heart. It’s all we have after all, isn’t it?
